| Interesting things happened around the NHL today as the Detroit Red Wings traded away Valtteri Filppula and Daniel Cleary to the Philly Flyers for Wade Skolney and Brian Savage.
Also, the New Jersey Devils who won their season opener yesterday in Carolina changed their captains. They set their choice on 31 years old Jay Pandolfo. The new alterned captains will be David Johnny Oduya and John "Mad Dog" Madden.

Pandolfo has been with the Devils since he was drafted in 1993, 32nd overall. In his Carreer he totalized 153 points in 571 games. According to our sources, the power forward could win the Frank J. Selke memorial trophy soon. He was voted player's player and is currently the Devils' Ironman with over 160 regular-season games played in a row. |
