Team Canada Captures Gold In A Shootout Against Slovakia
It was a long and grueling game in which both goalies were fantastic but there had to be a winner. Team Canada seemed to start pulling away in the overtime period but could not seem to put the puck in the net despite getting many chances to do so. The game was then pushed to a shootout where it all came down to the last shot, if Brodeur makes the save Canada wins if not it continues and Martin Brodeur did not disappoint just like all tournament long. As Team Canada defeated the slovaks 3-2 in a shootout to win the gold.
