The NFL announced the 2010 award winners and the Pro Bowl Selections. The 49ers had 8 awards won and are sending 16 players to the Pro Bowl, a league-high.
The 49ers swept the Player of The Year awards on both sides of the ball, with TE Vernon Davis nabbing the Offensive award after totaling over 1,400 yards receiving and an NFL-record 23 TD catches. DE Derrick Harvey accepted his 2nd straight Defensive award after leading the league with 31 sacks.
Other award winners include QB Alex Smith (Best QB), RB Frank Gore (Best RB), G Justin Smiley (Best OL), CB Shawntae Spencer (Best DB) and Coach Jon Gruden (Coach of the Year). Harvey also earned the award for Best DL.
The 49ers are also sending 16 players to Hawaii for the Pro Bowl, including 12 starters. They are as follows:

The 49ers will welcome the Arizona Cardinals in the Divisional round next week. Arizona defeated the Bears 27-10 in Chicago last week. The 49ers swept the season series, winning 45-24 in the season opener at home and 48-24 in Arizona. The two teams met last year in the Divisional playoffs, with the 49ers completely bottling up the Cardinals by a score of 27-0.
