The Memphis Tigers, for the first time under 3rd year head coach Bolig, have finished as the #1 team in the NCAA. They finished with a record of 24-2, losing to #5 North Carolina and than #25 UTEP.
The #1 Tigers now enter the Conference USA Tournament as the #1 Seed and a 1st Round Bye. They will play the winners of Southern Mississippi and Southern Methodist.
The Tigers defeated Southern Mississippi near the end of the season, beating them by a score of 95-49.
They have also played Southern Methodist mid-season, defeated them 112-48.
