Balitmore, MD
(Cleveland News)- The Indians came into Balitmore trying
to take the lead again. They lost the AL Central lead to Kansas City
after the extra inning lose to the Tigers last night. These two teams,
Cleveland and Balitmore, are on two separate polars of their division
standings. Balitmore is last and Cleveland is first. The Orioles jumped
to a two run lead in the second. Travis Hafner then got the game close
with a solo homerun to make the Orioles lead only one.
Then the in bottom of the sixth the Orioles offense exploded
with four runs. The four runs came on a Connie three run homerun and a
Gil solo homerun.
In the seventh the Indians reponded when Ronnie Belliard hit a double
that scored one. But, it seemed when the Indians would score the
Orioles would just score again. The Indians exploded in the eighth with
four runs. Those four runs were Broussard single, Boone Sac Fly,
Sizemore single, and a Belliard single. In the ninth the Indians would
score three more runs to win the game nine to seven.
